This is interesting! I have a few questions:
1. How securely is the rear view mirror LCD attached? Does it just clamp on and does it stay in position well or does it jiggle etc?
2. Can you still reach and use the home link buttons on the built in mirror for garage door etc?
3. I noticed the...
I woke up this morning with a bad hangover
And my wang was missing again
This happens all the time, it's detachable (detachable wang)
This comes in handy a lot of the time
I can leave it home (detachable wang)
When I think it's going to get me in trouble
Or I can rent it out when I don't need it...
Surprisingly, I came across *two* 45th Anniversary Editions in Redmond in a single day and is the first time I've seen one in person since they launched.
Sorry for ghosting my own thread after ppl responded lol, meant to circle back...
I'll probably give this another go myself one of these weekends. I did find the thread below which has some good ideas and is the exact spot I am having issues with. One of them is installing velcro to hold the...
I've already gone through the process of dismantling most of the trunk / B-pillar trim and adding some foam / contact material to select spots to try to get rid of annoying vibrations/rattles coming from the area, but the issue persists.
I might give it a second go, but am also curious if...
Mine does not chirp, I don't recall the exact steps after coding it, but in my notes this is what I changed in bimmercode:
Main > HeadUnit (HU_NBT_EVO) > Checkbox acoustical lock confirmation > Nicht_Aktiv
I don't have in my notes if I had to check / uncheck some combination of things in the...
If you've ripped out all the wiring, it seems like you could just leave the tracker itself in there? I assume it is just a useless chunk of plastic if there is no power connected to it now.
Even if we get something similar (or better) than Japan, assuming it's limited quantity units like the Final Edition then the dealer markup is going to be astronomical combined with insane demand due to collectors and flippers given this edition has actual performance gains and isn't just a...
Sample size of 1, but after someone hit my Supra in a parking lot I needed the front fender replaced and door had to be completely repainted. https://www.belkirkbodyshop.com/ did a pretty fine job - I can't tell the difference between the repaint and the original. Turbulence Gray in case color...
I got some mats from https://cocomats.com/ a while back and really like them in terms of aesthetics and durability - they have a lot of different color options too. Myself and passengers don't tend to track mud or heavy dirt into the car so I personally haven't found a need for any heavy duty...
I don't think any Telsa has a chance of being a classic in the traditional sense, although the 1st gen roadster will probably be a collectors car given its unique construction and very limited numbers. Honestly it might already be in that territory today - I see a grand total of 2 for sale...
I wouldn't worry about that - the car is nearly 100% BMW parts for all the mechanical and electronic parts and isn't really special in terms of how to work on it compared to other BMWs.
Dealership experience is indeed a total shit show, but luckily you don't need to rely on them long term once...
Also, that tray does come up (both wireless and non-wireless) as I replaced my charging tray with the OEM non-charging version. I don't recall if there was much access to the USB / Power port while it was removed tho, as you don't have to remove the larger center console trim to swap out the tray.
I assume you want the USB port to have a data connection to the car, similar to the existing one? If not and you only want power via USB then you can just get a low profile adapter like this:
If you want data too then I'd try this same post over in the Electronics sub forum so more people see...
The 3/4 view and front view in the last picture are not even the same design? One of them curves up and around the top of the intakes, while the front view one is only on the bottom and sides.
Either way, hard pass. Feels like overkill (replace and paint the whole front bumper) for a relatively...
