Unless you mess up the bodywork and don't know how to repair fiberglass, or you crunch the chassis (and then you are screwed) it's actually crazy cheap to work on. You can find an engine for under $2k, and it's easy to do all the work yourself.
Of course that was 10 years ago when I looked...
'21 here and mine was the worst rattling car I've ever owned. And I've owned two Lotus and an F-type. It was so bad I almost sold the car the first month I had it.
Instead of doing that, I pulled the whole interior from the seats back, plus the center console and sound deadened, then felt...
Emira as well, but I'm waiting for the 2023 model. Had a first year Evora and they cleaned up a ton of stuff after the 2010. I am guessing this will happen again.
Definitely more along the lines of what I want (and possibly others).
Not the right time for me to buy (just had cataracts surgery that cost $4000 after insurance) but possibly would make a nice Christmas present to myself.
If one were to return their core what's the cost? I have enough...
Unfortunately Aza doesn't fit in my definition of "reasonable price" for a steering wheel.
$1650 just so I can stop whining about my fat hands on a dainty wheel seems excessive.
This. I don't need CF or LEDs.
I think there's a market for one that looks OEM but has a thicker grip for a reasonable price. Just need someone to make it.
Should consider stopping thinking of them as "fake vents" and instead think of them as "color accent panels." Someone could produce different color overlays to allow one to personalize their car even more. The OP's LED panel idea fit this concept.
Ugggh. In my 20s I was modding and rebuilding MK3s (bought an '88 NA in '93, a '88 Turbo in '97, and an '89 for parts in "98). Finally back in the Supra world, but now I'm 48 and apparently old. How did that happen?
I've owned 3 MK3s and watch the market fairly closely. Prices are starting to go nuts on the later models with turbos and targas.
Pretty much everything else is still reasonable, though I've seen people asking for $5-$6k for similar state NA lately here in Georgia. Personally I think thats...
I'll have to see if mine does that. I'm finding all kinds of weirdness.
Today I had a 15 min drive around town and tried playing around to come up with steps to duplicate. Here's a fun one. One a flat road at 45 MPH in Sport mode with no real load on the car it should be in fifth. Now...
I'll have to track down the thread with how to do that, I vaguely remember seeing it. You can do it with bimmercode right? (first thing I bought after the car. The fake noise had to go!)
That's a fair point, I lumped them together because I saw it as just "a lot of hesitation." Yesterday at one stop light I hit the throttle and counted 1,2 and then the car went. Next light it was less than a second even though I attempted to replicate the same motion with my foot. Next one...
Ugggghhhh...or maybe Arrrggghh! Driving home today it was so bad I started looking for a different car this evening. I can't do another automatic that won't go when you push the throttle. Frankly I'd rather go back to a manual, deal with the nerve pain from my back surgery, and then pop a...
For me, it definitely is not traction control, warm up time, or weather related. Which is what the other threads seemed to me, my apologies for starting a new thread, I missed that second thread you linked in my search. Thank you for the link.
It was eighty something today and sunny, and the...
