There’s also a hidden setting in bimmercode that will auto turn on your heated steering below certain temperature. So if you get a heated core steering without the button, this may work.
It will smell terribly if you go catless. You will not pass any vehicle inspections.
But pops and crackles will be louder, exhaust will sound raspier.
A good middle ground is to get a 200-400cell high flow cat.
I’ve seen posts on Facebook where people were able to retrofit G series steering wheel and bimmercoding heated option to it.

I get that all the time. No worries, it is just a warning that you are too close to the car infront.
You could turn it off in safety settings if you find it triggering too much.
Happens to me quite often. I would stop at a stop sign and when I accelerate, the car doesn't move until 2-3 seconds later. It caught me by surprise when I tried slamming on the throttle and the power suddenly comes on to the point that it was dangerous.
