Not gonna go through 8 pages of comments but what the owner with the JB4 said was that Toyota of America flagged his VIN and he is no longer eligible for any warranty work. Dude sold the car at a loss to him and brought negative equity to his new car.
Yup, I work at a dealer and have had many customers who saved thousands of dollars due to purchasing the extended warranty. But like others have said, this mainly pertains to people who are keeping their vehicle outside the factory warranty period. Ends up paying for itself in the long run usually.
They might be able to warranty it as a factory defect if your vehicle is still within 3/36...then you'd have to have the dealer take apart that door panel to replace it. Up to you if its worth that or not.
Have not seen this on a Supra but I have seen it on other vehicles where the tint people got all the lubricant they use all over the door panels and didn't clean it up properly which left residue just sitting on affected areas. just my 2 cents.
Picked up after having some PPF bits added on and full ceramic coating.
Did some interior leather conditioning and put in my new weathertech mats and Verus air box resonator delete.
I did the same with my bike about a month ago. Just was not putting a lot of miles on it and the market for used bikes were hot as well so I sold it.
But health first, second reason why I got rid of the bike was cause of the old lady ?
