I think its certainly a big step up. It's still not a generational leap though imo. Still sounds like they're relying heavily on a doppler effect.

That's a good point. I'm not sure if it's synthesized or if its amplifying the engine/exhaust sound. Here are the four different methods BMW uses:

I've had this issue for a while now. The car is lowered, a carbon roof, and some aero. I wonder if it's the lowering springs. Anyone been able to narrow it down?
Safe to say that stock and tuned Supras exhibit the same delayed gear shift. I'm assuming it is a protective measure.
If anyone is experiencing this issue, please post here. Investigating further.
I've just got my car off the dyno and noticed the same slow shift on WOT after it was tuned. I'm going to check if the same thing happens with tc off. Or maybe its trying to preserve the life of the trans? Have you been able to understand why it does that?
