Halo models also allow the company's engineers more room to push the envelope and put the leading technology into it, which will then theoretically trickle down to and improve the lower models in the brand. It'd be nice to see the Supra come along and then the sub-86 car incorporating some...
Agreed and I think the buzz on the BMW forums is that the M2 concept will be at Geneva so no way they steal that thing's thunder with a Z3/Z5 concept.
What exactly will the BMW concept tell us more about the Supra though, if anything?
It might be higher revving and have a higher redline but I doubt it'll be as tunable for power. It came from a time when Toyota over-engineered its engines.
Goes without saying that the MKIV Supra with its 2JZ basically has hero status, especially that engine. So it's great that the Supra was able to develop such a great reputation as a result, but at the same time that's a high standard to live up to for the MKV Supra.
You guys think the next...
Wouldn't think it would be. Once the initial tooling for the body parts are set, it should be just machines cranking out the parts. Maybe there's slightly more raw materials used because of all the intricate styling but I can't imagine it'd actual cost Toyota much more. :hmm:
I love how fast info moves these days and would never choose to go back to before the internet, but anyone get nostalgic when thinking back to waiting for the next issue of a car magazine to show up in their mailboxes?
Nowadays you can even drive a concept car virtually before you get to see it...
