They forgot to mention it i just read their instructions, all 6 have to be plugged in..
probably had you unplug it for more room to work on the HPFP...
I had some dull spots like that on the passenger side and think it was some of the anti corrosion wax that dripped out of the hood and down the side of the car and a few spots on a wheel. it was a pain to polish but its totally gone now.
You'll suck in some warmer engine compartment air...
i know that i had to work it all the way onto the lip to get it seated right which was a pain. i cant remember if i used alcohol on the lip of the carbon box to remove any spray ceramic coating that i had applied but that may work in your case...
have the inner part flared away from the box that way it pushes against the box. has never worked loose once i figuired that out.

I have connected services and dont see an option for map updates. from what ive read its OTA only.
if there is a manual way to download that would be cool...
It comes down to manuvering it and kinda rolling it into place. its not easy, each time i take it off or put it back ut takes a few trys to get it in the right way...

Pro Tip, dont drop the front push clip for the secondary inlet ive done it twice and its a nightmare to find!
I run with the second inlet removed for more sound during the winter and reinstall in the spring...
Yes the installer was stressed out when i picked up the car, he said the same thing that its one if the most difficult cars to do. other than a few air pockets the rest of the install is pretty good in my case...
To the OP, if your paint was damaged or cut into i wouldnt let that slide that...
