@DermDoc Thanks for pointing me to this thread! It looks ballin' and really goes well with the design language of your overall build. 😮
Now I have to go into a corner and convince myself I don't need this. I don't need this. I don't need this. :spaz:
100% this.
I'm middle aged, a non-CEO, and had a lot of track experience in slower cars. But tracking the Supra just once at Sonoma made me realize it's a lot of car to handle and I wasn't ready.
So starting with the GR86 and working your way up is definitely the way to go. Super jelly you...
Don't forget to mention you "got a big girl budget" every few posts, mention how much you make per year despite nobody asking, and how everything you don't like is a ricer mod.
Try to keep it civil here folks. Clearly we're all poor, in poverty, and in the presence of a CEO queen with the ego the size of a small planet.
Back on topic, I wouldn't do just front springs only. Back in my even more poorer days, I did just springs in the front of my old Honda Prelude and...
As an owner since Nov 2021 of the Supra, honestly over the years I've lost the urge to modify the Supra (at least mechanically.) Why? It's not that it's perfect, but it's just really really good out of the box. And yes I understand the irony that you're on a Supra forum, filled with tons of...
+1
That's the thing some people seem to be ignoring. Cost is definitely a significant variable in this discussion. The Supra is not a $100K car, but at $50K+ it's definitely performing or can perform rather well against cars much more expensive.
I think the obvious answer, is that if any of us...
Another vote for Carpro Dlux. Super easy to use, and so far has held up on my Titan7's for a year+ now. Whatever you decide, go with an actual coating and not something sprayable.
lol yeah I meant that I agree, it shouldn't be on there. I just feel like if Toyota was going to make a special edition wing, they might as well go balls out Civic Type R or Subaru STI wing or something, or don't put one at all as you said
LMAO the 45th Anniversary wing is the opposite of being too big. It's so dinky and oddly shaped.
The best OEM wing by far has to be the original A91 duckbill. Small and subtle.
To be honest, getting a MKV Supra is already a stigma in itself. It's not for the weak. Prepare for "Emgeremgereddd NiCe BmW" or if you got an Auto "EMregeredgdgd I OnLy dRiVe MaNuAls WhY diD U bUy aN AuTo"
Your wing choice is the least of your worries.
Oh yeah, I'll disclaim I'm not an expert and this is all purely butt dyno feelings lol. But overall driving it feels pretty similar to me. And I should mention this is all on CA 91 Octane, and I told the tuner my goal is drivability, not necessarily all out mo' powah.
As a former JB4 user and Jesse customer. I was pretty satisfied with it. OTS was totally fine, but Jesse really smoothed it out and made it feel more natural. Don't worry too much about peak numbers.
I ended up doing the finland unlock route and bm3. It's a little bit more smoother and feels...
Got the "1FS SUPERSONIC VTX STYLE WING 1520 MM" basically the Voltex 12.5GT wing replica.
Quality of the wing itself and metal piece is pretty good. However the actual mounting points are horrible quality. (What can you expect from a chinese knock off?) I decided to color match them and it...
