Point taken. I agree that you have valid points on all fronts.
I still think the a90ās resale value will depend on the a100. Will there be an a100?
I believe if you have an a90, or have a vested interest in a90 values being higher than average, your best bet is to hope that there is no a100...
i will say this.. plenty of valuable cars have their engines shared with mainstream cars. Mustang engines were also found in LTDās, Camaro engines were in Impalaās/Biscayneās, and even the MKIII and MKIVās were shared with Aristoās/Lexus GSā. I donāt see the values of those Mustangās, Camaroās...
I miss the good old days (back in the 80ās/90ās/early 2000ās) when having an //M car meant something special.
Then they diluted it by creating the M-sport and you soon had m badging on something that wouldāve been a regular standard sport package back in the day.
Our society today (and for...
Itās going to be interesting to see what happens to all those showroom Queen Supras sitting at the dealership at $7k markup (minimum) for the past few months nowā¦ I donāt think Iāve seen a Supra at MSRP for a few years now
I feel very sad reading this articleš„
I had so much hopeā¦ it would all come down to thisā¦ but the Supra didnāt win the Senior prom king award:cry:
I mean, I was hoping it would at least win Best Personality or somethingš
Thatās pretty accurateš¤£
although I will say that the BMW M3 is more like a de-badged 320i. Sometimes they even buy an M3 front bumper too. Other than that, perfect description.
and I kinda miss messing with those SN95ās. Unfortunately, they have mostly crashed/rusted away.
the BRZ one.. I...
Makes sense.., Camry/Accord is too expensiveā¦ so let me get a crappy Altima. Also, with discontinuation of several long time stable subpar sedans, I could picture the lowest common denominator gravitating towards the Altimaā¦
I can understand the elitist, pad-yourself-on-the-back-everyday snob driving a Tesla, BMW or even a Prius. So itās really no surprise that itās on the list.
I can understand a jerk feeling the need to have a pony car. Or a domestic HD pickup truck. No surprises either.
But Nissan Altima?? Is...
If you asked me 20 years ago.. I wouldāve said BMW 3 series
if you asked me 10 years ago.. I would have said a 1/4 ton domestic Pickup truck
If you ask me now.. itās gotta be Nissan Altimaās:rolleyes1:
Honorable mention: Dodge Charger, Chevy Malibu, Tesla SUV
This is not so much directed at the OP or anyone in this thread, but I think car āenthusiastā are some of the dumbest people around when they keep talking about this badging/engineering issue when people have been doing it practically ever since cars have been around:dunno:
Folks be acting like...
Iām gonna take it a step even further than you both
would anyone be interested if this car was offered as
Auto
Sedan version
I would actually be interested in the sedan with an autoš³ talk about a sleeper!
Also, having a sedan body style itself would also essentially take up the previous STi...
Ok, so the new Z may not be a Supra or even a GR86 around the trackā¦ but at least it can whoop a** when compared to aā¦ 30 year old Mercedes SL500:rofl:
fast forward to 23:08 mark for the Zās surprise appearance on finally being able to gap something.. for once
š
Although this is not a car for plebs, I do hope that it is what we all hope that it is. Itās great to see Toyota/Lexus flex their šŖ as well. Hopefully it isnāt just some appearance package body kit with a slightly stiffer suspension and like a random new wing.
Toyota/Lexus need a real...
Some people would argue that trucks are not race cars, 1/4 mile demons or freeway on-ramp beasts (and rightfully so) but when I rented out one of these a couple years backā¦ I felt that it had no balls. It felt limp and numb. Sometimes if I closed my eyes, it almost felt like it was rising in a...
I would only disagree with the fair part when the cars were judged on styling. I feel like these days, styling is so subjective that If I said this car was pretty, or this car was ugly, those are subjective statements because thereās no quantifier as to why one was ugly and one was pretty.
For...
I definitely see and take your point, but I think the reactions are natural. If we were on a FoMoCo forum or a Mustang specific forum, the Mustang would have a 90% favorable rating compared to the Supra or any other car in the comparison as well. If you go to a BMW forum, theyāre probably saying...
I think we are in agreement that these are not family sedans or crossovers, and comparing them is a lot more subjective because of the differences between them.
The Pony cars (Mustang, Camaro, Challenger) were made to compete head to head.
The Japanese sports cars (Supra, Z) were obviously made...
