Wellllll we WERE there - Supra Connect 5.7 started working for me yesterday... but we are lost again - it stopped working today with that same Phone Rooted error. BUT the 4.3.1 version does still work and you can tell Google Play to never update it.

I love my Pixel phone. But I am definitely a live and let live guy, if iPhone is your thing I am happy for you. That said it's very annoying that we don't get Android Auto, but AAIDrive is a great alternative for music art and especially texting abilities.

Ummm well the newest 5.7 version of the Toyota Connect app now works again. No changes at my end so they must have done something on the server side.

Wow. I called the help number for Supra Connect, they gave me a different number to call at BMW, they tried to open a ticket for me and told me their system is telling them that Supra Connect will now only work on i-Phone and is no longer supported for any Android device. FYI @hufman

Well how annoying. Supra Connect updated and now it will not open on my phone with an error saying app access is restricted because the phone is rooted. Which it is not. As an experiment I fired up my old phone and started the app, it was fine. Then I went to google play and sure enough there...

Well that was a smart idea. I did some more driving and eventually it did come out. Really disconcerting when it is making the noise as everyone has said.

I did try that and also some short driving and braking. I guess I could try both again but I was worried that if it was something else I could cause damage.

@MrNobody could you see the rock? When you say you pushed on the shield can you describe that more. @Stick45 was this your issue? I woke up to the exact sound and I also have a '23 MT (8K miles on mine) making be think this seems awfully coincidental LOL.

I also seemed to be having trouble getting it to launch so I set it up in Tasker to launch as soon as the car connects to BT.

What a great app @hufman ! I had to hunt around a little in Bimmercode to find ENTWICKLER_MENUE but once I set it to aktiv it seems to be working perfectly for texts and calendar. Kudos!

Thanks, yes. It was that and another setting in the roof unit. It does seem maybe related to the autolock.

Yes, I was able to successfully add the checkbox to turn sounds on or off but turning them off only disables the unlock chirp, not the lock chirp, for some reason.

Thanks. I did try searching here but could not find anything. Good idea on the BMW forums I will try there as well.

I set up the coding and enabled the option to disable the chirps. But it only disabled the unlock chirp. I do have it coded to auto lock when I walk away so maybe that prevents you from disabling the lock chirp? Anyone else? 23 A91MT.
