Honestly, I'm just odd. I looked at a bunch of possible things to replace my 2013 FR-S with and ultimately settled here. I very nearly went with a used 4C; in the end the complete lack of practicality with that car pulled me away. The Supra ended up having just enough to make it workable (I...
Personally, I think the FL5 looks too tame. I loved the looks of the FK8 - it's so overstyled it looks like something the Duchy of Zeon came up with to finally take down Amuro.
The FL5 just looks like a somewhat-spicy Accord. Meh. I'm sure it drives better than the FK8, but it doesn't look better.
I traded in my ten-year-old 2013 FR-S. First month of production, first model year.
I'll always treasure the time I had with it. The 86 is a special car.
This where I'm at. Anyone who chooses to drive an actual non-boring car and not some generic CUV has my respect. I made my choice, but I cannot and will not denigrate someone else for making a different choice.
Supra is my only. I came out of the 86 platform (2013 FR-S), which seems fairly common.
My old flame:
My wife has a 2013 Highlander, but I don't drive it except on long highway trips, as I am not used to driving vehicles that large.
I've got them on mine, in 265/35/19 (front) and 285/35/19 (rear) sizing. They're great. The sidewall stiffness on the DWS06+ is an improvement over the DWS06. They aren't going to have the dry grip of a pure summer, but are perhaps a little better in the wet than the OEM MPSS, and you can drive...
5' 9"/170 here, but I've never owned anything but small, low coupes so I have the getting in and out down at this point. Plenty of space once inside, as you'd expect.
My son is 6' 2" and he has more room on the passenger side than he did in my FR-S.
Those look a ton better.
I hate them too. I should just get them powdercoated, but I think I'll throw money at Apex instead and get some SM-10s. I was thinking bronze, but my wife dislikes it, so anthracite it is.
