BMW engines perform well but really have had their issues since they went turbo. Even prior to their turbo engines, they had VANOS issues and required a lot of maintenance (valve adjustments etc.). Still holding out hope for a Toyota engine! But with the interior looking so BMW, my hope faded...
And just yesterday I saw another report claiming hybrid power plant. Maybe what these recent differing reports is shaping up to be two different models with two different engine options, as we've seen in previous rumors -- a gasoline turbo V6 model and a hybrid model.
Disappointed to not see another concept at Detroit but this is just the start of the auto show season so still plenty of shows to show it. NY Show is in April I think so maybe we see it there?
Interesting that the Supra doesnt have the same cult status in Japan as in the U.S. Sounds like the Supra name is inevitable for the production car, they just purposely didn't want to use it for the concept in order to let the designers feel free to imagine and design. Good read thanks.

Good point, unless they plan to abandon the entire 'affordable' sporty car space, or replace the Z's current position with the Juke :crazy: I still cringe when I see crossovers selling as well as they are.
