Ok dumb question but do you just ship the case as is like that or do you put it inside a box? Seems like it would be so easy for someone to open it up. Maybe do a combo lock and send them the code?
Drove the car for 30 minutes and everything feels great. I’ll still be monitoring it closely and might do another bleed on the next oil change just to make sure there’s definitely not any air in the system. For now though it feels great and engagement does feel way better without the CDV.
Well I kept bleeding it over and over but the pedal was still staying on the floor. No air was coming out of the lines. As a last ditch effort I just decided to pump the pedal like 50 times and it came back to life. Everything seems good now. I don’t feel good about it but it’s working fine.
Ok so I got fluid and a lot of air to come out but the more I bled the worse things got. The pedal had no resistance now and doesn’t return back up. I kept the reservoir filled to the neck the entire time. No idea how it could have gotten air in the system and why bleeding won’t fix it.
Oh wow I’m used to like a quarter turn to get these valves open and I went way past that. I must have been really close to where it needed to be. Guess I’m getting back under there tonight to give it another shot. Thanks!
Ok so I just removed the CDV and ran into a weird issue when I went to bleed the clutch. I can’t get a drop of fluid to come out of the bleed nipple. I was having my wife push the pedal to the floor and then would open the valve. I thought it wasn’t opening enough at first so I repositioned the...
That's not how you measure brake rotors my guy. You won't be able to use those calipers since they'll catch the lip. Also measure from the outsides of both sides. Should be able to look up the specs for when they need to be replaced.
I daily mine. Put 15k on the stock Super Sports over 2 years and just switched to DWS06. The SS are pretty awful in the cold and wet but I still managed fine. Just have to drive carefully in bad conditions. I do like having the all season on there now. I’ll see how they do in the summer and see...
Good luck! Only snag I hit on the install is that there is barely any slack in the wiring that goes to the DRL boards when you remove the module. I had to wiggle it around a bunch to get the wires free as they seem to snag on the housing. Once they free up a little you can pull the module out...
