It's just the knob, not the whole shifter. Apparently it's a BMW thing where the knob is held on with compression (and hope) and not threaded or locked on like most other shift knobs out there on other car makes.

You're a moron if you think the 981 GT4 is a "POS". They're both brilliant cars and with subtle differences between the 2, with the newer version being more refined and less engaging.

I'm at a little under 2k miles and going into reverse feels a lot better now for me. It definitely doesn't feel like it requires as much force as it did off the lot.

The clutch pedal feels fine in my MT. I have no issues with rev-matching, heel-toeing, etc. You want to feel a an actual trash clutch pedal, go drive a mk7 Golf R. Supra is WORLDS better than that.

I was able to remove it out of the hatch area without any issues by just moving the passenger seat forward a couple inches and angling it out the back. No need to force it through the cabin.

You just smack it from underneath and it comes right out. Reverse in the MT also likes to be smacked. The car just enjoys a good smacking honestly.

There's literally no proof that this is causing people to "burn up their clutch". I'm sure it helps fine with better pedal feel and power shifting, but it's ridiculous to claim this is a solution to a problem that isn't even fully understood yet.

I'm sorry, you have numerous friends....all of which have the MT Supra...all of which are completely stock.......all of which are having supposed clutch slipping issues....in the same driving situations... I find this a bit hard to believe. Sorry but this sounds like FUD to me.
