As someone looking to get back into a supra after mine was totaled, this is interesting, but if you could clarify Zack’s notes that would be great. Whatever fueling is going on would be good to know.
What is the reason for the quick price drops? Trans slipping?
I’d be curious to see dyno...
Not what I did, but got tboned coming through an intersection last night. Other car ran a red light and didn’t brake at all. Car is likely totaled. Coil overs were absolutely decimated and found top hats and dampeners strewn around the road. Just glad that there were no injuries. Time to start...
This is...something. Kyle did a good job though.
If anyone is actually interested in how wings and downforce actually works, I highly recommend spending some time watching Kyle.Engineers on youtube. Former F1 aerodynamics guy who explains how aero works extremely well.
Don’t do that because not as safe as a wheel that has been cast or forged to that spec. Cutting and welding will not be as safe, especially considering the rotational inertia. Even more so if you are planning on pushing 700+.
I’ll be in Oslo and out to Trolltunga here this summer.
Aluminum high heat HVAC tape is your best friend for wheel weights.
I never run center caps on track wheels for that exact reason. I have seen some other people safety tap and wire some, but that’s sketch.
If you’re on RSR EDC Cancellers, make sure the rears are on the correct side. The pictures in the instructions are kind of disorienting. Switched them to their correct side and never had this error again.
This is pretty accurate. Time difference will obviously vary between tracks, but yes, RS4 is a super good comp. Reason why I would take them for One Lap.
How does that happen?
ECFs are nice. I think they're the most streetable 200tw and they last for days. I've been consistently quicker on CRS or even V730 to consider them as a full fledged track tire.
If scheduling works out next year, that's the tire I would plan on running in One Lap though.
Test drove an auto and manual M2 today and...they're really nice. Holds the weight really well, surprisingly. Power delivery is impressive and braking performance was nice.
I don't necessarily think the supra and m2 are comparable at face value, but for their individual niches, they're both...
Yep, plenty of understeer, as expected. Next track days aren’t until the fall so working on something for the front to be on around early September. Weighing the options for producing the most front end down force within street mod rule sets.
Did pretty much the same thing. Had an off and went plowing with the diffuser. Decided to wash the car for the first time in a good month or so. Also hit 10k this past week!
Can't comment on the other brands as SPL is what I went with. P2uned still has the rear endlinks for ~$160. I'm sure the front could be found for ~$200 or so somewhere.
What are you doing for a tow behind? or are you trying to keep everything in the car?
Good stuff. I’ll PM you at some point here or on IG or something to get your thoughts on the high df splitter paired with the Spage wing.
Debating going the Spage lip/splitter route or the high df splitter to pair with the Spage wing and prefer a neutral front/rear downforce for the car. Will...
Both of which cost double the price of the Verus diffuser and would have far less of a performance benefit.
With a diffuser being such a niche market compared to that of rear wings, and the already difficult nature of balancing front and rear downforce, I doubt we'll see any other performance...
Have you ran the Ar-1's before? If so, I'm curious what your thoughts were on the difference between them and the CRS. I've been running the CRS for a while now and swear by them, but always open to other options for track days.
