I got some nice decals for the brake calipers. I watched one video, and in applying them, to clean the area, alcohol was used. Seems totally reasonable to me. So I got the area ready, wiped it off and then sprayed a little on a rag and wiped. Wow, red paint came off. I am surprised that it had like zero resistance to the alcohol and this dulled the red paint as well. I tried another caliper, in an area that I don't care if it is dulled and the same thing. So I would just wipe them down, and use some soapy water and dry them for prep rather than use alcohol.
The decals look good on there.
