I had occasion to drive a new M4 6 speed today. My first impression was this car is at least 100 hp shy of my e50-tuned Supra. Quick but not an animal. Second impression was how unrewarding the manual transmission was. The shifter was vague and rubbery and felt like it could have come from an old VW Rabbit. Chances are a BMW/Supra shifter would feel the same. No thanks.
