Perhaps one of the lesser known brake manufacturers, but we've been all about Tarox since we started offering their amazing brake upgrades several years ago. We are putting the full Tarox setup on our shop A90 within the next few weeks as a testament to our belief in this excellent brand.

A quick and brief history on Tarox in case you want to dig a little deeper: https://www.dsgperformance.com/blog/everything-you-dont-know-about-tarox-brakes-part-1/

Rotors come in 4 designs seen here, the most popular being the F2000. Rotors are manufactured using only the highest quality high carbon TUV approved castings and features the unique TAROX heat treatment for strength and durability, final hand balancing for the smoothest finish ensuring perfect contact and a quick bedding-in process and a final, anti-rust treatment.

How much do the rotors weigh?
I will actually get a scale and weigh these tomorrow. We have our set that hasn't been installed on our shop car. I'll do a video and pics, great info to add to the thread ✌

When will you be getting rear pads (the OCD in me hates to mix brake pads)? And... do you anticipate selling higher temp Corsa pads in the future?

So from what I understand, I don't think they'll be releasing a rear pad, at least any time soon. I know myself and the US Tarox office have been asking but they aren't going to make that pad shape. Possibly in the future.

For now, you can go matching Hawk, Project MU, or Tarox front / whatever else rear in the same temp ranges to have a matching compound (that's why I did the Hawk 5.0 rear pad)

For strada and corsa, both are available for the front! (check my original post above, I have them listed there)

Update on 2lbs higher weight from the rear rotors, from Tarox:

Originally, we used a rotor that is the same “1 and a half piece” construction to the factory version, ie a steel outer with an alloy inner.

We are not able to use our heat treating process on rotors with this construction, so we switched to a fully cast rotor, that we can heat treat as we do with all of our other rotors. Yes, the rotor is a little heavier than the stock item, but the heat treating improves the performance and longevity of the rotor, and with it being on the rear of the car, the additional weight is not felt through the steering, so this was the route taken. Benefits far outweigh the negatives.

Sorry If I missed it, but why are the rear rotors more expensive. And yes, I am new to the forum. Thank you!
