Someone on here told me to look and see if mine still had the shipping spacers. Well, it sure did. Thanks for letting me know! Two on each side! Ugh

Took me longer to make this post than yank them out. They twist out. Make sure you pull the boot back down. Literally jacked the car up and had them out in 30 seconds per side.

Moronic dealers. The car has a big warning sticker about the spacers on the windshield prior to pdi.

You're looking at the top of the damper body. The dust boot is protecting the shaft and entrance in the body for the shaft to keep dirt out of your damper. You're good.
