I have no idea what happen to GM and the Camaro refresh.. they made that car Ugly AF!! Itâs the Aztec of sports cars.Well said.
I'm at getting to that point myself. I've been holding out for three cars. The refreshed Camaro is FUBAR. The more I see/read about the Supra the more disappointed I get. Between the very uninspiring power estimates, to the non-functional yet very ugly vents, and the non-driver-centric cockpit feel. At $50k, Toyota needs to do a whole lot more than hit a weight number of sub-3000lbs, which they will likely miss by a mile. My one saving grace will be the mid-engine Corvette in a couple years.
You think the 2019 camaro is bad? Gen 7 will probably take inspiration from the late 70s Camaro!I have no idea what happen to GM and the Camaro refresh.. they made that car Ugly AF!! Itâs the Aztec of sports cars..
The only time Toyota has disappointed us is in Le MansBlind faith in Toyota wonât mess this thing up is something I wouldâve said many years ago but theyâve disappointed over and over again.
What are the disappointments?
How that abomination of a re-style ever got approved is beyond me. Have they never heard of focus groups? Heads need to roll, blood needs to flow.It has1972 Camaro inspired styling
I was super excited when they were going to actually make a MR2 sequel... do you even remember the MR-S? Celica was awesome when it came out with the 180hp GT-S but they never updated the car and it faded away into the abyss. IS300 1st gen was amazing.. sequel to it was ok but they never offered the manual in the 350 models and the new one.. 3IS (I have one), is awesome when you get the 8spd trans in the rwd models but a manual wouldâve made that car a runaway success.Blind faith in Toyota wonât mess this thing up is something I wouldâve said many years ago but theyâve disappointed over and over again.

I am very frustrated with the lack of details and information on this car, but I wont make any opinions until we get the facts its just to early to draw conclusions...
Fair enough but they offset it with a great product. Toyota made bland cars and mistakes only.. last awesome car was the MKIV Supra and that was 25yrs ago.For sure they have made some mistakes. I have considered and driven many times the RCF/GSF modes and declined to buy either and will wait for the Supra. However ever car manufacter has made duds and disappoint...
clearly Toyota should hire you in both marketing and designI have no idea what happen to GM and the Camaro refresh.. they made that car Ugly AF!! Itâs the Aztec of sports cars.
There are a lot of people here thatâll justify all things toyota and even go to extent of saying the design of a 95 Avalon was polarizing. Iâm a firm believer of.. if you make a nice car Iâll buy it... I wouldâve never bought a Mustang but Ford made an amazing product and in two years Iâve bought two from them. Toyota has mastered disappointment, they think they know the market too well and end up failing at all things sports car related.
Mid engines vette will be something thatâs going to be interesting to see what comes out of it.
Good idea.. even you get it!!clearly Toyota should hire you in both marketing and design
Not sure I agree with your general point about Toyota as a car manufacturer and a blanket statement...agree the last awesome car was the MKIV Supra for enthusiasts, but they have built and sold millions of other models around the world that those buyers are very happy with. I think your frustration is aimed at the Supra model but not Toyota as a whole...Fair enough but they offset it with a great product. Toyota made bland cars and mistakes only.. last awesome car was the MKIV Supra and that was 25yrs ago.
Be afraid for the 7th gen, as it will be inspired by thisHow that abomination of a re-style ever got approved is beyond me. Have they never heard of focus groups? Heads need to roll, blood needs to flow.
Oh Iâm looking forward to that.. I think MKiV values will skyrocket after Toyota fails with flying colors in commissioning BMW to make a Supra. Lol. Imagine MB making a GTR.. lolI lost faith long ago, especially once the BMW was clearly linked heavily within this cars DNA. I was a buyer when I went to NYC for the FT-1, my wife thought it was sexy, then you give me this fake ass shit? WTF? I see Camry's on the road daily with fake vents. I like JDMuscle have been long time MKIV owners, and I too went and bought a true drivers car because I have no faith in Toyota with this predecessor... I will enjoy my Supra's value increasing as well as my new car...
