Right now, I'd agree, maybe I will get used to it, or it won't look so odd IRL.Bubble roof look so weird, almost like it's swelling or smthn. Is it just me bothered by this?
The 2000GT was designed for Nissan by Yamaha. If that's your only hope for Toyota's design success I think you're out of luck.Right now, I'd agree, maybe I will get used to it, or it won't look so odd IRL.
I'm afraid that anyone hoping this car will have the visual appeal of an Aston Martin or even a 911 is going to be disappointed. It's not an ugly car, but compared to what might have been, it's a lost opportunity for something really special. Toyota proved it can do great styling decades ago when it makes the effort - see the GT2000.
Closest thing you'll get to amazing style is Lexus and it will be heavy to incorporate the understated, business look. Loaded with luxury and weight, it won't be the pure sports car but it'll do everything right most likely, just not excel at it.Right now, I'd agree, maybe I will get used to it, or it won't look so odd IRL.

perhaps for the first concept offered by Yamaha, but according to Toyota they used their own design when they took on the project. The 2000GT was designed for Nissan by Yamaha. If that's your only hope for Toyota's design success I think you're out of luck.
I believe you are correct. The A550X does look quite different from what we know as the 2000GT.perhaps for the first concept offered by Yamaha, but according to Toyota they used their own design when they took on the project.
True. I'm doubtful they would have done anything close to the 2000GT without the basic idea from Yamaha, but they did do a good job of refining it. Which may be similar to the Z4 / Supra.perhaps for the first concept offered by Yamaha, but according to Toyota they used their own design when they took on the project.
Look at the MKIV for example. Terrible looking car. Some of you give Toyota so little credit. smh.
Indeed. So ugly that Ferrari bootlegged the design for the 599. lolLook at the MKIV for example. Terrible looking car.
