Overall shape brings to mind the Miata NC... similar bar-of-soap form, although the doors are more sculpted.

^ Except the Supra won't be coming with 21" wheels and a ground clearance shared with slammed rides and race cars....

Looks like if the Supra lost it's bottom teeth and forgot to put shorts on.

Height and wheels aside the Supra is still the more attractive out of the two. FYI that's the 4 cylinder version. The I6 prototype has been spotted with larger wheels and a lower ride height.

I have never been a huge fan of BMW's design and I am still not after seeing those pics. Maybe it will look better with some paint HAHA

basically, Toyota said, we need a motor that will hold this power and be tunable by the aftermarket, and BMW submitted ideas and possible parts that could be used. from there, they designed a bespoke motor, but it is still essentially a BMW motor, just one that will have JZ like attributes. I am aware of some other items, but they are once again off limits and I will not be commenting on them until near release.

BMW is still deciding if they want to use the the Supra motor or the upgraded B58. As of two weeks ago, they were still undecided.
Really now? What are the differences that would make them be undecided? cause considering what was said, the supra engine sounds great over the B58 . Do they know something we don't?

A70TTR, help me understand something please...

What do you mean by the "Supra motor"? Aren't both motors BMW motors? Are you saying the Supra motor is a Toyota built motor, or a Toyota spec'd motor built by BMW? Regardless, the further away the two platforms are, the better.

Also, is it really true of a cast iron block option? If so, can you elaborate on this some more? Forged crank, forged rods, forged pistons, closed deck, etc...???
