No max dB ratings, we measure ours according to the SAE J149 standard. The test is performed at 4000 RPMs, 8" off the ground and 19" away from the system on a 45 degree angle. Are there any max Db readings available for the different versions of your exhausts?
Gotcha, I recommend the Touring Edition either way especially if it is a daily driver. You still get those sweet sounds but more refined.Ok, thanks. Trying to decide if a track version would be too much. One of my local tracks has a 95db sound limit and are very strict about it.
Are you aware if there's going to be any differences in fit with the upcoming manual transmission?
I have the track edition. It's a lot of noise, but it sounds so good. There are videos out there of it, but it's so difficult to get an idea about how loud something is from watching a video on a computer. We'll see if it gets me kicked out of NCM in a couple of weeks!Ok, thanks. Trying to decide if a track version would be too much. Keep in mind there is always the conversion kits so you have the option to transform your Track to a Touring or vise versa so you are never stuck.I have the track edition. I know I'm responding to an old post, but I've been curious about this...Gotcha, I recommend the Touring Edition either way especially if it is a daily driver. You still get those sweet sounds but more refined.
Not aware of any differences at this time, but we have our eyes on it closely, and will update the community if there is a fit difference.
Iām not Sara but i am someone that has had 3 different AWE touring systems (C7 Z06, 392 charger, and Supra) the track is just straight pipe nothing special the touring is the fine tuned exhaust with no drone and a beautiful tone. I always went touring and have loved every system Iāve got from AWE 100% recommendI know I'm responding to an old post, but I've been curious about this...
In what situation do you recommend the track exhaust? I don't think I've read anyone from AWE actually say to go for it. Do you have super high return/angry customer rate on the system that you're reticent to recommend at all?
I ask because I have the track version. It's not a straight pipe. It's resonated, just not muffled, which is why it has a nice tone but is very loud, and why they were able to tune some of the drone out of it. Don't get me wrong, by any measure it's loud, and it's boomy down low, but I personally don't think the system has a head-bursting drone like some other brands, even in their more tame systems. Watching their responses here, the only reason I can come up with as to why they don't seemingly ever recommend the track version - even for track cars - is that people get them and either have to buy the extra stuff to turn it into a touring exhaust, or that customers are pissed because it's louder than they were expecting (or more likely louder than their neighbors want when they leave the house every morning at 6am for work).Iām not Sara but i am someone that has had 3 different AWE touring systems (C7 Z06, 392 charger, and Supra) the track is just straight pipe nothing special the touring is the fine tuned exhaust with no drone and a beautiful tone.
