Kamui is a great driver. He was fun to watch in F1. If you have F1TV go into the archive and watch a few races he was in. His last year in F1 he got a podium in Suzuka I believe. Forgot the year though.
That’s cool. Sounds like NASCAR is making a push to improve their vehicles. Perhaps attract a bigger audience and better drivers?

Maybe a bit, they are adding more road courses and even did a street course a few weeks ago. I have a hard time watching Nascar when it's just speedway/ovals. I don't enjoy it with Indy Car either. Just seems rather boring to me, even though I know it's very difficult to win.

Anyone following the Felipe Massa law suit thing?

I didn’t mind Massa before but right now he’s looking like the poster child for short man’s syndrome. Shoot he drove off with the stinking fuel hose attached!!

Wow! I really like the article (attorney opinion) below:

https://www.sbnation.com/formula-on...drivers-championship-explained-lewis-hamilton

I’m sure in Massa’s mind, he’s the clear winner. It’s like trying to convince me or @Dannyvandelft that Max Verstappen isn’t the best driver in the world right now. Pointless. Dude needs to move on… He should have separated himself from the pack (point wise) even further that year and it wouldn’t even be a discussion.

Some people just like to point blame or blame the system = victim mentality. Where the emphasis should be on what they can do to improve themselves. That’s what Lewis and Max did. Hence here they are today. They know how to do just that. True champions ?
I can see Massa's point though. If the Singapore results were deleted, he'd be Champion. If the Abu Dhabi 2021 results were deleted, Max would still be Champion regardless.
Having said that, Massa was never World Champion material. He was just riding the Ferrari high at the time. A better driver would've easily won that title.

has nothing to do with Abu Dhabi, is Massa being a whiny b….

I think they should hear the case, then disqualify Alonzo and bump everyone else up one slot. Would Massa be happy then? :)

Race weekend finally ?

Iā€˜m working this weekend ? but still gives me and the wife something to look forward to (recording on Xfinity/ESPN). Was considering the F1 app where you can just stream it anytime to our TV ?

F1TV is worth every penny. Especially considering I had cable just for F1, I actually saved money. And you don't have to listen to the idiots on Sky anymore.

I’ll second this, the subscription is well worth it. Between Peacock for Indy and motocross and F1TV for F1 I’ve cancelled my cable and I’m ahead.

My wife and I have a bet every race weekend, we each pick the top five finishers and sometimes a wildcard. Winner gets to pick a restaurant and the looser has to pay. Well we have a joint account and all, but you get the picture.

Alright! All in… It sounds way better and well worth it ? Thx y’all ✊?

It funny cuz we do the similar talk on who’s not going to make the next qualifying round. She told me Hamilton wouldn’t have time to make it and I told her ā€œno wayā€ and ? she was right (as usual). So many other things going on to watch for other than Max driving off to the sunset ?. I walk away for a few seconds and she had this whole story of how the American dude would have been the 1st since Mario Andretti to qualify as high as he did, then the kid wrecks.

Point being, there’s so much more I think we’ll get out of the F1TV. It’s great having someone who enjoys it as much as I do to watch it with. Add cool peeps like y’all to talk about it afterwards = ?

That last minute qualifying… wow ? Those guys were pushing like hell. So much movement on the board. One lap for it all, fighting for their F1 lives… insane! They couldn’t have timed those red flags better. Don’t want to see any red flags. But how it played out was fantastic. I know Max is good… but even for him to pull that kind of lap out of his arse was incredible. And so impressed with his pal Lando. Even Russel… wow ? I need to watch that last minute of Q1 again. Russel couldn’t stop talking about Williams lol. Happy to see him out of element just being himself.

Sounds like the game is to talk Max up and he’ll become complacent. Would hate to be in their shoes. Even Checo in the same car can’t reel ? in those kind of times. And Max avoids the accidents/mistakes (even if just barely). Race after race. What a sight to watch. Incredible car control. Keeping himself always in the mix. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone pulls a NASCAR move on him just to take him out of the race. I hope that never happens but just sayin…. What else can they possibly do?

The King and Queen of The Netherlands just casually chilling with Max during Alonso's interview. The King is a huge sports supporter. World Cups, Olympics, he goes to support his athletes wherever they are.

No disrespect to Sebastian Vettel but it’s better that the consecutive win record goes to one of the great drivers, I’m not sure I put Seb in the same group as Max, Lewis, Senna, JMF, or Michael.
