Has anyone tuned had to replace this part ? Heard it can happen but I’m assuming single turbo high hp Supras do this. Wha are obvious signs it went out?

would anyone know the OE part number for Toyota website parts.

Welp, I am experiencing the vibration under acceleration. I may have to start getting the parts.

Based on your photos, I'm assuming these are yours and you've done the work? If so, which kit off FCP did you get?

FCP Euro claims this kit is not the right one (as it's for a 4cyl) and they could not recommend me a kit to work, claiming BMW only sells the b58 guibo preinstalled on a new driveshaft.

I'm not familiar with Toyota numbers, but the procedure and parts should be the same.

BMW Drive Shaft Flex Joint (Guibo) - Febi Bilstein 26294 | FCP Euro

Pretty straight forward job, just a lot of parts to remove while accessing. While you're there, I'd replace the driveshaft support bush as mine was toast. This made a huge difference in driveshaft play without introducing NVH, and you don't need to remove the driveshaft. Also check your front diff bushings for cracking. While it's normally the rear guibo that goes bad, verify the integrity of the front.

Just some side notes,

The BMW TSB states to remove the transmission support cross member, but you don't need to do this. Just loosen the driveshaft support bearing, remove all the bolts connecting driveshaft -> guibo -> diff, and pull the driveshaft out of the diff. If you're not going to support the driveshaft, tighten up the driveshaft support bearing so the shaft rests at the u joint and not the transmission flange. Use the manual neutral switch on the trans to rotate the driveshaft around for easier access of bolts.

I didn't have to replace the centring on the driveshaft, but if the inner race is rubber, grease it. If its hard plastic, don't add grease.
