  1. What did you do to your Supra today?

I've never really understood the concept of taking your car or motorcycle to a race track and then prioritising keeping it off the walls so to speak. When I'm on the track on a bike i'm there to push the limits and take some risks and I've got the injuries and broken bikes to prove it. Thats...
  2. What did you do to your Supra today?

"And your balls" Seriously you're doing a track day in a cage not riding a Superbike. No real balls required. Phil
  3. What did you do to your Supra today?

I always find even when I use a spot at the far end of the carpark away from everyone I come back to find a car parked next to me! Doesn't matter which of the cars I'm driving😂
  4. Bad plugs question

Fit new plugs from a whomever your favourite supplier is but check they are genuine plugs and not cheap fakes and keep an eye on them for a while. Research the internet as fakes are very common now and behave exactly as shown. Phil
  5. 2023 MT Supra Clutch Replacement Options

What they mean by this is that they aren't the clutch for a newbe clutch person or for someone that drives around in stop start traffic and has no finesse with a clutch. It will have greater initial bite than a stock clutch and if you let you wife or mate with no idea or a learner drive it they...
  6. Downshifting question

Maybe the system just says OK too much noise. It's debateable in reality whether exhaust pops and crackles are technically legal on a road registered car. Maybe BMW limit the amount or amount in a given time to address this. Try doing it over an extended period of the same drive not in a brief...
  7. Downshifting question

Ok. From my understanding of the Auto it has over rev and mechanical protection for the downshifting so it won't let you down shift if the conditions might cause an over rev or mechanical issues for the trans. 4K does't sound like it's too much though. How is it now? A start cycle may have...
  8. Downshifting question

What Max RPM did you pull on the downshift? Phil
  9. Stock clutch - How long has/did your stock clutch last?

Or, as with many other things in car/motorcycle forums the initial irrational hysteria over a few people having an issue due to factors that are likely related to personal technique or other factors has died out as hysteria tends to do. Or do you have some information about post 2023 clutch...
  10. The Official AUSTRALIAN Thread

I've owned a road bike in that satin black and the way you maintain the finish is with a wipe over with automotive wax and grease remover. It shows up every fingerprint and every insect hit becomes a shiny blotch. A road bike was bad enough I can't imagine what a car would be like. Phil
  11. New Car/Supra Owner need advice.

Nice to see some rational responses. I always get the involuntary eye roll when I read the old "I want to make 650WHP" or an even greater fanciful figure thread from time to time. Phil
  12. The Official AUSTRALIAN Thread

I saw one in the dealership at Essendon Fields back in January and took a photo of it. Satin black, looked shite. Part of colour design is If you want to minimise anything with a form esp a car with nice curves, then paint it satin/matt black. So you take a beautiful curvy design then paint it...
  13. First Oil Change: Oil Filter Questions

To turn this into another oil thread. Don't go there. Phil
  14. Stock clutch - How long has/did your stock clutch last?

You forgot to include the last 2 options. I'm not 18 and drive like a tool...... Still going. Any of the above but I know how to treat a clutch....... Still going. Phil
  15. New Car/Supra Owner need advice.

I know I'll get smashed here but honestly on the power front if it's a road car just leave it stock. I mean a good one has 400hp or there abouts at the wheels and in this day and age that's enough to get you locked up. Most people and I mean 99% can't use that anyway skills wise on a RWD road...
  16. Went from Supra to Gallardo

Yea nice car OP. You're not alone in going back to an older classic. I tend to see the point of the video starting at 18.30. The rest is interesting also but his point at the 18minute mark I see. Enthusiasts are starting to buy the older supercars because they are going back to the less...
  17. Headunit upgrade options?

You're selling yourself short, looks real nice to me. The finish/colour on the adaptor is slightly different to the OEM dash but thats being picky. Have you considered the option of "if you can't replicate it perfectly then make it a feature" thing? So a different surface finish to actually...
  18. Anyone in Europe or Japan able to source part numbers?

The std trim is p/n 45186-WAA01 or 02. I bought one a while back and I think it was the 02 the difference between the two being I think my original Aussie 2023 the trim is silver bordered and the USA 02 version is Piano black bordered. The special "GR" logo version I don't know about but I just...
  19. Razorlab - 2020 LE build thread

The right call I think. Phil
  20. BTKUSA Diff mount with bushing

This looks a more sensible design than the other available option here. For starters it has a rubber damper which is good. People don't seem to realise that part of the rationale for elastic mounts is to not only reduce cabin noise and vibration for comfort but to also offer some protection for...
