He mentions it several times and says he found it poorly written but he did consult it. But back to the question - is the door latch sensor a common or known issue with the A90? And is there anything else as cumbersome to replace as that on the car? Personally, I can't think of anything else...

Just curious if this is an extreme and rare example, or if this issue with the door latch is somewhat common. And whether it's true that the GR being a BMW has a lot of this sort of non-Toyota efficiency when servicing it.

That in itself is ironic, considering his designs at the time were hated by BMW owners.

Do you think swapping the stock seats for aftermarket ones is worth it for a weekend fun car, since the stock A90/A91 seats seem fairly comfortable and grippy enough for street driving and light track use. Is there a reason to swap them out other than for a visual change or when turning it...

I dunno, as far back as 20 years ago when I was buying my first new car, they wanted the quote in writing from the other dealership and then they'd match or slightly beat it. Having trouble believing dealers have gotten more trusting of prospective customers since then. :)

Is it possible the washer fluid reservoir got damaged when you did the EVS fenders and is somehow leaking into the passenger compartment? Did you check to see if the washer fluid reservoir is empty? Only other thing I can think of that is in the vicinity.

The hardest part negotiating on the Supra is it's a much smaller production quantity than other Toyotas and people keep buying inbound allocations, so dealers still have the better position in negotiating price. Unless a bunch of them start sitting on the lot, not sure how buyers will gain...
