I finally hit my break in miles and am just now starting to drive around in sport mode. When in sport mode at a stop, I fully and rapidly depress the gas pedal, and it seems I can count a full second before the car goes. It's like it wants a second to rev the engine before kicking it in gear to...
I should point out my kids were like 6 and 9 years old, so there was room for a duffle bag (kid separation/ violence suppression device) between them in addition to bags in the trunk. My son is 6' now and would not enjoy a trip in the back.
I'm leaning slightly toward the GT as well, which was my original plan before they announced the Emira. Figure a year or two of rehab and my back will good enough to go back to a manual transmission and by then GTs will be in the 70s-80s.
That back seat is super useful. Back in 2015, we took...
Ahhh, but that's why you buy a Lotus. Nearest dealer to me when I had my Evora (and Elise for that matter) was in Denver...I was in Utah.
But it's a Toyota! (okay, assuming you bought the V6 in this case) If you can wrench on a car at all you can fix a Lotus, if not a Toyota tech can fix...
Fair enough! Thank you for taking the time to reply and for creating the awesome guide for this mod.
For those who want to just print a simple port instead of buying, there are many options out on thingiverse.
Quick pulse check befire I spend time learning thingiverse. I created a couple of 3d modeled custom vents. First was this one:
It's just a quick print in PLA with the Supra logo painted to see if the concept was feasible. I ran a bunch of test prints in nylon as well, but it needs someone...
Did the @tadda speaker mod, but 3d printed some custom vents I made patterned after the hood vents out of nylon so they won't warp in the heat.
I've got the Weathertech liner and didn't want to cut it or have half covered circles. Sounds great!
Here's what they look like fresh out of the...
People seem to be saying it isn’t, but that makes no sense to me. Software is software, and has to have a method to update in case of defects. (okay technically that only applies to modern systems)
Regardless, my guess is either the update hasn't trickled down to dealers, techs haven't been...
Based on what they said the whole problem is that they have not yet figured out a way to encrypt the traffic being transmitted for their hack. This means the first person who gets it can just watch what is being transmitted and will know how the hack is done themselves.
Once the way to hack it...
Similar thing happened with my 2012 STI on it's first oil change. Nothing like swirls you can see from space on a black car.
Their response "you really wouldn't want our lot techs to buff that out would you?"
He had a point and I bought my Porter Cable DA.
This. While I was trapped in the finance guy's office they kindly "washed" the car with their SM9000 device.
It took me two days to paint correct and remove all the swirls from the body. I'll likely never get the swirls and scratches off the wheels. I'm guessing they used the newer SM10000...
Need to start a Supra/Huskies owners group. I imagine most discussions will center around dog hair clogged my cabin air filter, and the times spent chasing the dog down the highway because they figured out the emergency trunk release and intentionally waited until you were in stop and go...
