Where do I go in BimmerCode to register the new battery? I've coded the correct type but I'll be damned if I can find some means by which to register it. I'm probably missing something obvious here...
Edit: I was user BimmerCode and not BimmerLink because I am an idiot. Don't be me. Learn to...
I haven't yet tried a salvage yard. I'm kind of leaving that as a last option given the price I'll get, BUT at least I'll get some cash rather than have a set of seats sitting around doing nothing. I think the last option is going to be to post 'em on a sim racing site and give Facebook...
For anyone who has replaced one or both seats, what are you doing with your stock seats? I can't sell these damn things, want them out of my office, and don't want to throw them in the construction dumpster down the street. Seems like a waste. I thought about marketing them to the sim racing...
No real input to provide, unfortunately. I am lucky to have an awesome Toyota service department and an awesome local race shop. I was able to deliver the message between them and have the exact work done that needed to be done. The head service tech over all of them, who has been there for...
I went back to a modified stock for a while, but now I'm running an MSTv2 and I like it. It sounds great, but is all gappy with the way it's assembled in the car. I'm not entirely happy with it from that perspective, but honestly I'm not sure I'm going to be completely happy with any intake...
Yes, the post you're replying to is my odyssey with exactly that (and other problems). It's the reason I dumped the $1400 intake. It's horseshit, and a poorly designed product. I'm glad they fixed it but it's terrible they waited so long. I'm sure there are plenty running the product that don't...
Replacing mine today. What about the little hose thing that goes into the stock battery on the right side? I'm not seeing a hole to put it in on the AG.
I swear to Christ the next time I do this it's going to be with a car built in the 90's...
Someone was talking about it on some Discord server I'm on. It was from a local distributor (I don't know their locality). Another person said their distributor would provide replacements for free. For $58 I'd still just buy replacements and bank a couple of extras.
That's how I read it as well. The replacement parts (new design as noted in the TSB) are about $16, according to what I'm seeing elsewhere. I'm just going to buy the replacements (x2 additional sets for future use) and install them rather than dicking around with it. I'm not sure how I feel...
Yeah, it's a bad situation and not a great look for a part going on cars that will likely be tracked. I suppose this type of failure is one that only comes to light after 10 of thousands of hours of people stressing the components, though. It appears they are not covering the cost of replacement...
