I went with the Audison harness because it had the plugs just like the Audison amp has. So no soldering. You will need to cut the blue remote wire from the Audison input harness and use that for...
Don't know much about the match up. I went with an Audison AF M8.14 which gives 90w to doors/rears and 140w to subs. The DSP is what makes a huge difference with the extra power. Stock doors and rears are 4ohm and subs are 2ohm. The base rears only have a 4". No tweets, but I added tweets in...
You can just swap out the old amp with a new amp. It is all analog. You will just need a wire harness to plug in to the OEM harness.

The sound quality is night and day better with the DSP. The added power to all speakers makes a huge difference. I eventually replaced all the speakers except for the 8" with Morels as well. Figured if I was going so far as to get a DSP I might as well take advantage of it with better speakers.
1st you need to figure out if you have the premium JBL system that runs off MOST digital interface or the base audio that is analog.
I have the base system. It has 2 speakers in each door, a speaker behind the seats on each side, a center, and the two 8" "subs". Not sure about your region...
Cool thanks. I'm looking at throwing in a single SI SQL 12, same dimension as one of those JL boxes, just 3" taller. Nice to see how much space 1 of those boxes will take up.
I chose an Audison 8.14 DSP. Also replaced OEM speakers with morels (OEM 8" still). Night and day difference. After tuning it's pretty drastic. The 8" OEM midbass pounds with the extra power and tune. Next will be a sub with dedicated amp.
Sorry I'm not sure how the process works with keeping the factory amp installed. I was always under the impression you want the cleanest signal possible going in to your aftermarket amp. Sounds like the installer is going to take the digital signal after it has been processed (now analog) for...
The input for the stock amp is provided by a MOST fiber connection. JL amps do not have a MOST connection so you need an interface that accepts that connection then converts it to an optical output that the JL amp accepts.
You will also need an aftermarket wire harness that will plug in to the...
The audio for the premium JBL system is supplied through the MOST interface. You will need a digital interface to accept the MOST signal and output an optical signal to go in to the JL amp.
Just a heads up in case some did not know.... there is a difference in the hardware you can use with JBL (premium) and base audio (676) systems. Base audio does not use the MOST interface, just analog signals.
Wouldn't the option for the F series be the choice?

The base audio is the 676 option (no RAM module).

This harness will plug in to the existing factory harness and you just attach the amp outputs to the labeled wires. If you keep the existing speakers that is all you need
I just did this on mine a month ago. My base audio has 4" in each door with 1" tweeters. Behind the seats sides were just 4" speakers (no tweeters). I added tweeters to those and powered by an Audison 8.14 DSP. All OEM speakers were replaced with Morels, except the 8" left stock. Made a world of...
Yeah. Luckily I chose the base version that doesn't use MOST, so I just upgraded the amp to an Audison amp/dsp and replaced all of the speakers with Morels. Wasn't much info on the base system, so I went through some trial and error not knowing there were major differences.
