So essentially you went from sealed to ported? Also with the lining are you talking about like a Dynamat of sorts? I was planning on updating my sound with BAVSound but would be willing to try this first to see how it goes and then maybe updating to BAV to see if it gets even better.

Shouldn't this car be a tuners dream? Why get so angry and disappointed for something that you will be making your own by tuning and modding? There's plenty of other issues out in the world. Disappointment and anger over a car this is what we call first world problems.
