'20 here and using factory spec for now but definitely eyeing 5W-30/40 options, just as I would on a '21. If I was in a hotter climate and/or tracking my car I would likely have switched already - also because I am on ethonal/DP/tuned and have some worry the factory spec not being the best...
Some have discussed it could be due with locking down some of the safety technologies for legal and security reasons. I think that is a good guess but probably only part of the story. Any proprietary computer systems like we have in cars today have some level of encryption - this always gets...
Certainly a risk regardless if it is 20 or a 21. Early '21s will require a bench unlock regardless prior to tuning and many '20s like mine did as well due to newer revision on the DME. Sounds like dealers can't or don't know how to update individual modules without also updating and locking the...
I've likely waited too long to take advantage of my free day...but I thought I would ask anyway: Has anyone been able to take advantage of the free day by picking a track day date past the one year of ownership mark (but registering before that one year mark)? The sign up page indicates that I...
I would like to know when someone is able to get the iSTEP/iDrive updates from a dealership AND not lock the DME on a tuned car. So far, it seems like dealers don't have access to or are not aware of the latest build that enables fullscreen CarPlay based on what I have seen posted online.
Not awkward to me. Hard to use in a hard turn at an intersection, so I’m just grabbing the center console shifter for those scenarios. I think many of the extenders/large replacement paddles look a little out of place.
No drain back function unless you add the recently released add-on for that. So it’s not doing anything/I have a healthy motor functioning in a clean manner…not sure which is the better way to look at it. I’m no B58 expert so maybe someone else can chime in here.
I’ve been running one for a little over 1,300 miles and just recently checked for anything I could drain out but it was dry. (Or dry enough nothing drained out)
Commenting just to follow and say I’m in the same boat and considering those wheels and the same tire setup. But I might dive in the deep end and do coil overs as well since that seems to free up some clearance from what I’ve read…?
I’ll also add I did a DP/flex kit and tune first and the stock...
Anyone running aftermarket wheels on their Phantom yet? Trying to decide between a handful of options or powder coating a OEM set black. (The two-tone finish is my biggest turnoff).
Absolutely - I don’t want to be a bother for a problem I’m not personally experiencing. Just curious what others resolutions have been. I’ve got a upcoming road trip so reliability is on my mind.
I'm really pleased with the look of the Graveyard Performance "batwing" I just got it in. I'm more convinced of the look now that I see it in person. I was hesitant to stray away much from the A91 Edition-type OEM duckbills. Just waiting on some more tape for mounting. Test fitting pics:
Blendmount +MirrorTap kit MTX-1015. Some might not like how low it hangs. I think I can remove part of the mount to tuck it up but I haven’t bothered.
100% this! The Supra is my first auto sports car and it’s a very good one despite my initial apprehension. But options are good! I’d like to see both offered but don’t have high hopes. I’ll add another manual car to the garage at some point, but not because it’s better or worse, but 3 pedals...
Pretty much as expected. Not bad but nothing to get super excited over. I like the red interior. Would have been nice to see a new exterior color. This is better than zero changes I suppose.
