Does anyone know if fundamentally the break in process is “greening” the cat and fully activating the precious metals and coatings inside the metal cells in the cat, or the car adjusting afr, etc.. to exhaust fumes for efficiently, or a combination of both?

Cool, thanks. Even when stopped at a light? That is my main concern, smell outside cabin is fine, but inside cabin I definitely don’t want. We’ll see what they when I take it in, hopefully it’s something wrong with the install that’s causing the smell and the CEL that just popped up

I do indeed have HVAC set to auto, which prioritizes outside air. Is everyone else with 400 cell aftermarket dp’s running with recirculation? Or don’t have noticeable smell? Or just deal with it lol

I’m also running aa dp and fi exhaust, and mine is stuck in semi closed position and exhaust is really quiet. It doesn’t have anything to do with valve spring, because the current versions don’t have a spring between actuator and valve, instead the actuator slit slots onto the rotating cylinder...

Ah gotcha, so FI with AA dp in sport you’d estimate as louder than AWE touring non-res with stock dp? I’m thinking it could be the low bassy note of the awe that is bothering me, I’ll give the AA downpipe a try. Will dm you!

I’d say in sport mode, maybe like 15ish%? It mainly adds lower frequencies to the exhaust note and fills out the tone which is nice. But peak volume wise it’s only a bit louder, and a lot quieter than the AWE Touring Non res as I have come to find out yesterday lol. In normal mode, I’d even say...
