Sealants will streak bad if you're letting them dry on the surface or applying too much or applying them in the sun. You might think 70 and sunny is a great day to wash your car (it is!) but when you put a sealant on a car in that weather it'll immediately dry and streak. And yeah, spraying it...
Hey Lizard, when'd you buy? I got close to the same discount from Toyota Direct here in Columbus and got exactly what I wanted, but for awhile I thought they were the only ones in town who actually had Supras on the lot. I had looked around for awhile in fall trying to find some, and none...
Not sure many shops in Ohio have worked on this car yet, but for what it's worth, I'm taking mine for non-warranty, non-ToyotaCare work to the same shop I go to with my 335i. They specialize in German cars and they've done good work with the 3, so I figure, the Supra shouldn't be too hard for...
Do you have something attached to the windshield there? Is it putting off heat or changing the circulation or something? I'd take it off and test it out just to see. It may be too close to the vent if that fixes it.
Aren't there M340i/Z4 dynos out there that can definitively figure this out, anyway? Because it's the same engine, it's going to be *extremely* similar. Like, a quick Google search led me here: https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1638852 . Wouldn't that be fairly indicative of...
Oh I can certainly see why people would think that, it's subjective and yeah, it's a really small car. I'm 5'8" in the biggest shoes I own, and like 180lbs. It's really comfortable for me! It feels somewhat claustrophobic even for me though, and like I said, I'm not very big. I've got a...
I don't disagree, but I think the way I'd put it, is the Supra is no worse than your average small 2dr RWD sports coupe at being a daily driver. In fact, it's a good bit better, and plenty able to be daily driven - Toyota/BMW did a great job at making it very comfortable and livable. But it's...
I've got no idea, but I'd be interested, too. I know there was one BMW tuner down in Cincinnati that'd probably work on a Supra, but I don't even recall their name.
I didn't get a chance to mess around in winter - I kept the old E92 for that, since it's AWD and has a winter tire setup already. But with a good set of winter tires I'm sure the Supra would be fine. It can be fairly tame if you want it to be.
And yeah, visibility is like driving a pillbox...
Yeah, I had a coupe too, '09 335i, but this feels extremely similar (as it should).
I actually cross shopped my Supra against a used Giulia Q4 and an M340i, and just got the best deal on the Supra. I absolutely miss having 4 doors (and have, since I got the BMW in 2012) but do you use yours...
ToyotaDirect in Columbus. They were actually quite legit, too, from what I could tell. Paint was a bit swirled but nothing a few hours with a buffer didn't fix. Also all their Supras have/had been on the lot for months on end, so they had some incentive to get them moving, too, as they're...
Yeah, I got about $6k off MSRP in early February from my dealer in Ohio, and they were only advertising $4k off MSRP. The same dealer has two (actually, now just one, as of this morning it looks like) advertised for $6,372 below MSRP. My bet is someone could get it for $7k+ off.
My purchase...
People say this with certainty but it's very much going to come down to individual dealers and how hard you/they want to fight. It's extremely unlikely they'll be able to make a case that, say, swapping out your sound system caused your transmission to fail. It is much more likely they can...
I'm glad I'm not the only one infuriated by this. Yesterday I just popped the trunk before drying and then again after (and spot dried what resulted) and that got most of it out.
It's quite likely it isn't really necessary at this point, but keep it in your back pocket. If Toyota plays nice and you're happy with the resolution, there isn't an issue. But if they start really dragging their feet or not giving you the deal you thought you were getting, that's when you'd...
Yeah, if the price is up I don't care. Love the car, kind of annoyed they announced this the same week I bought it, oh well. Probably on me that my interpretation of "adding more power" was based on my past experience with BMW - i.e., they're adding more power to the 3 series this coming MY, but...
I did, and got a really good deal, too. Thanks! Needed a bit of a cheer up (and not least because I'm not driving it right now, on account of this morning's commute being in a driving freezing rain storm).
I saw somewhere it was ballparked at $40k/$50k/$55k/$57k (the top being for another LE-type version, and going down from there). I actually bought literally last week! Would have waited otherwise, oh well.
