Given that the i6 is alleged to be north of 50k (60 depending who you ask), I'll be opting for the turbo 4 if it's mid forties. 10k in mods goes a LONG way. You can snag a 800hp-capable turbo for less than 2k....
As someone running a 2009 BMW with a obd back-end flash and a friend with a 2014 bmw with a backend/OBD flash....you're just wrong. JB4 works in tandem with obd flashes.
I refuse to buy a $60k car. I would be interested in the lower turbo4 trim of the A90 for mid to high forties which is what I could reasonably afford. But when you can buy used posrches and M cars for that cost, it'll have to deliver The Fizz and I don't think it will.
...I don't dig the headlights or tailights. =\ Hopefully the aftermarket comes up with some great options like they did with the 86.
Also, strongly considering the turbo 4 if that's the difference in weight between 1388kg (3000) and 1498kg (3300).
It would also make the Toyota priced to match their ///M cars. 2900lbs + top-of-the-line motor would mean it's more of a performance vehicle than the M cars. It'd probably make traction a serious problem.
I mean, a base 2017 Nissan Rogue has a flat-bottom steering wheel.
Having driven all three of those and owned an 86 and BMW, there are good elements to both. One thing all three of those sports cars lack and make unbearable is good sound insulation. They're all terrible from a NVH perspective...
I've spoken with owners of the f-chassis m5 and they're absolute monsters and easily tunable. Straight up mental to get more horsepower out of those engines, 7 or 800 hp stock block.
Same here, I knew a handful of people who bought an 86 when new but we were all disappointed (I had one too) and we all sold within 2 years of owning, except one guy because he's got a monster 240sx to keep him happy. The cars everyone upgraded to? Infiniti rs, BMW, STI. All heavier...
(emphasis mine)
Preach it! I'm totally fine with even the lower 335 rumor. It's like people have forgotten that the JDM icons all had only 275-325 horsepower: GTRs, FD3S, A80, Evo IX, STI, and NSX. It's plenty enough for factory street cars. That even ignores the popular but less powerful cars...
This is what the gt86 community wanted so bad. This would be a great option too but I couldn't downgrade from my current I6TT for a I4T. I'd want another I6.
