Put some money down to get on a “list” that didn’t exist a couple weeks ago. I am first on that list :)
Excited about the prospect of a manual, B58 Supra in black.
Not interested in this car, but am in a manual, 6-cyl Supra when it’s out later this year. Message me your phone number and we can connect over text, if that works for you.
West Coast Auto Glass in Lynwood is stellar. Good work and great customer service. They did a windshield on my M2 with sensor programming, on two of my buddy’s M2’s and on my wife’s 2019 Golf R.
Michael’s Toyota dude texted me yesterday that they are getting manual Supras later this year. He doesn’t know when because of supply uncertainty, but will keep me informed.
Looks like things are getting real. Eddy, I may need to take you up on that test drive soon :)
My local dealer that I’ve been pestering for a couple months now texted me yesterday. He said they are expecting a manual Supra later this year, but don’t know when due to supply uncertainly. I am psyched at the idea of being able to finally get a 6-cyl, manual Supra.
I currently track a BMW M2. My oil change interval is every 4 track days, and I change the filter every other oil change. Trans, every 40K miles (manual) and diff every 20K miles. Though, since I don’t drive much besides track days and to abs from the track, I may do the diff sooner.
I use...
Met this owner at The Ridge yesterday (sorry, I forgot your name) and played a bit on track. I was driving a Mineral Grey M2. The Supra is such a nice looking car. So looking forward to a manual, 6-cyl.
That would be swell, esp if you don't mind meeting up on a weekend. I'll bring my helmet along to test fit root clearance as well. What's a good way to contact you?
Chatted with a couple of people at Michaels Toyota in Bellevue over their text service. They had not heard of a manual Supra yet, so I pointed them to the article on thedrive(dot)com. Sales guy said he will talk to his manager and see what's up and if a deposit can be taken.
My last 3 cars...
Thanks! Yeah, would love to check out an enthusiast's car and chat with them about their experience so far. This will be my next track car / daily combo so want to learn as much as I can before the manuals start landing on our shores.
That would have been great, but we’re meeting some friends for brunch at their place in Queene Anne at 10:30. Doubt I’ll be done before noon. May have to take you up on the next one.
Sounds like the Supra has a saddle tank and a similar pickup problem as all the BMW F cars. May be worth diving into the Dinan solution to see if it will work with the Supra in-tank pump.
The fuel starvation issue that OP experienced at half tank or below could be similar to what many BMW F series cars experience at low fuel levels. Its a pickup problem under heavy load aka track conditions and g-forces. Dinan makes a update for the stock in-tank fuel pump and even sell an...
Hi folks, I joined the forum today after recently learning that Toyota will finally be coming out with a manual, 6-cylinder Supra. Since this is my first post here, I will take a minute to introduce my car background for context. I love the styling of the Supra and to me it is a spiritual...
