Cayman GT4 was revealed yesterday. To me this is a true enthusiast's car. Even more than the 911 GT3. 3.8 NA engine and manual only! Don't think we'll be seeing many more of these cars ever made :(
Two totally different demographics and price points. MKV Supra will be about twice the price and totally different performance level. It'll also wear a Toyota badge, which will make a difference in public perception.
I wouldn't mind AWD in theory but don't want any increased cost, complexity and the weight penalty.
This car needs to be as light as possible to deliver on Tada San's promise to make a driver's car, not like the 3800+ pound AWD GT-R.
Makes sense for a car that will be faster and usually driven faster. The longer wheelbase will make for a more stable drive at high speeds. May not be quite as nimble feeling at lower speeds though compared to FR-S which will be lighter and have that shorter wheelbase.
I wouldn't mind if transmission was added to that list. Toyota has no dual clutch in his lineup right now and that's what the FT-1 / Supra needs, not an auto! Even if Toyota chose the Supra as its first car with a DCT I dunno if I want to be a first generation/model adopter. Its might have...
Brings up mixed feelings for me on the Supra. I mean as a future owner I want it to be exclusive and just have one engine offered, but on the other hand I want it to be a sales success too so it stays around this time. But it'd probably be more likely to be a sales success if it had multiple...
Someone went ahead and compared the FT-1 Vision to other Vision GT cars lap times. It's mostly just entertainment but it blew the others out of the water...

Do we think that the production car will be revealed next Oct at the next Tokyo show? Cuz if that happens that means we should be seeing more (and new?) concepts at the upcoming shows in the next few months at Geneva, Detroit, and Geneva right.
