Hardest part was removing the panels without breaking any clips, and routing the camera wire through the factory wire loom into the hatch. Ill have details in the write up. Ill keep everyone posted on the battery but with the Power Magic Battery I don't see why there would be any issues.

Got my battery charged again today re-registered. No more “replace battery” warning! Let’s see how long it last.

Its perfectly safe, but you need to go to your dealer and have them order the replacement battery. If they wont do it then you need to call corp. There is no other way to make the message go away.

Battery registry with MHD did not get rid of the replace battery message. Dealer ordered me a replacement toyota battery today and will be here monday.

No I just google searched, Do you need a battery pack for a dashcam on BMW, and a shit ton of threads come up.

Well looks like after researching this on BMW forums I’m ordering 2 battery packs.

I emailed them I’ll let everyone know what they say if I get a reply.

I was told you only need the battery pack if you dont want to use car power at all. We purchased the Power Magic Box which allows you to set the camera to turn off if the battery reading equals a set voltage you select on the box.
