Do you (or anyone else) happen to know if the ECU is not throwing a CEL because the cat monitor is set to 'ready'? Or is it not throwing a CEL for other reasons?
I have the CTS and really like it. Easy to install, huge washable velocity stack filter, and fun turbo noises.
I also bought the MST turbo inlet so you don't have to reuse the stock one. It connects to the CTS intake piping and fits like a glove.
By the way, I broke the clip on the breather...
Do you happen to know if the catalytic converter monitor shows as Ready with this installed? Trying to see if I'd pass Massachusetts state inspection with it.
You're on a MT, right? I'd be very surprised if you're not spinning after slamming into gears!
All kidding aside, good luck sir and keep going with the DIY map 6 tune. Looks like you're making good progress.
Thanks!
Great to see numbers/graphs to back this up. It seems rather intuitive that having an unrestrictive exhaust makes the turbo much more efficient, flow better, and spool faster. It looks like there is a definitely a significant difference witch a larger turbo!
Isn't there is a direct correlation between exhaust/DP flow and performance?
There are companies out there which make 4" turbo back exhausts which eliminates that 3.15" neck down off of the downpipe.
There's a thread about tuning JB4 on MT cars in progress: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/seeking-more-info-on-jb4-map-6-tuning.16759/page-7#post-302779
It's DIY but @Jesse DaBears has been providing guidance where possible without giving away the secret sauce.
Just as an aside, it's much easier reviewing logs from a desktop PC than your phone/tablet. Or trying to figure out what the hell everything means on the log files in Excel/Sheets.
Do yourself a favor and download the JB4 desktop app...
