I would think that if they've advanced as far as filing patent images, then this car is a done deal and already approved for production. Real curious how it's going to be priced and specd.

Yea hopefully we'll be able to tell scale and size from the concept, but i'm hoping for even more details like a discussion of the platform's construction and how good it may be.

Almost 2 full years from the first pitch to the concept debut. Wish someone could update this timeline to let us know if the production car has been approved and if/when a production concept has started.

My guess is that it gets a turbo 6 cyl. 6 cyl for smaller/lighter packaging and to retain the 6 cyl tradition, and turbo for some proper power. Best of both worlds?

That second prototype really reminds me of the MkIV. Just shows you they can do all kinds of testing with any POS prototype body. It could be possible they were testing the car in an old MkIV body from those spy photos? If so then we have seen a test mule already.

As far as we know right now t's just a platform that's being developed and engineered together. If you told me that BMW will be manufacturing the Toyota Supra too then yea I'd agree it might have the reliability of a BMW instead of a Toyota. But until we hear that's the case, I hope Toyota...
