Good stuff.
Heading to the show next week. Can't wait to see this baby for the first time. Hope they still have those racing sim pods. Is it just hooked up to Gran Turismo?
It's not a new concept so nobody is going to have much of anything new to say probably but look around the threads here, there's already statements made by Toyota reps here and there...
911 is the safe choice you know what you're getting since they've kept the formula and styling more or less the same generation after generation but cars like the AMG GT and F Type are the much more exciting choice. Plus theres so many 911's out there and not going to be nearly as many AMG GT.
I'll quote myself here in saying that this isn't news :)
Went digging for prices:
1998 Supra
Base started at $31,078
Turbo started at $40,508
1998 Corvette
Started at $37,995
So there you go - the Supra was already more expensive 16 years ago!
This shouldn't really be news or shock anyone? I always expected a modern day Supra to be about the price of a Corvette so it'd have been shocking if it was cheaper than a Vette.
~60k is nothing for a flagship sports car. We're not talking GT-R territory and that's a friggin Nissan. Toyota needs a halo car with a price tag to match so it doesn't cheap out on us. Cheapen the car, slap a 4 cyl hybrid in there or any crap like that and it is no longer going after the...
So.... what are the chances they do some donuts in the parking lot? :D Seriously thou will they actually be driving it for people to see or at least run the engine so they can hear it?
