A70, an article (i think it was CAR) made the claim that they'd heard the MKV might be built in a Toyota factory instead of at Magna Steyr. This seems incredibly unlikely to me...have you heard anything to indicate that a Toyota plant was ever a consideration?
If not the MKV, I'm getting a pickup truck, a trailer and a Formula race car. Everything else I like is over $100k, and if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I'm going racing.
The legacy of the MKIV isn't something which can be replicated. I've had mine for 19 years, and I was around when the single turbos started to hit in numbers. It was as if someone had unleashed a WMD on the car scene. . Within maybe 18 months, it went from "what kind of Toyota is that?" to...

Specs which matter, roughly in order:
Curb weight stock - Even the high estimate (3300) is lower than my MKIV (3450 on a truck scale). If there's a trim at 3100, I'm interested
