Love it, man. I feel like if you don't want crazy horsepower numbers, the 2.0 is a valid alternative, and you've taken care of a few of the weaknesses. I have a similar build but with 18" TE37s and a RaceChip instead of a JB4 (for now). I'm looking to replace the DP and exhaust next Spring...
Hah, I love it. Thinking about doing the same to my brakes, but it would be after I get a catless DP and exhaust. Loving the build, man. Keep up the good work.
I've heard of CELs and overboost problems with a catless DP and a tune but that's really it. In my shitty state, RI, any CEL is an automatic inspection fail; so that's why I'm waiting until after my inspection to throw a catless DP on there and exhaust. I'll sell it before my next inspection...
Can you feel the difference the JB4 makes? I have a Racechip that I've been sitting on since I bought the car that I think I'll finally install after my next oil change soon, but I held off because some people said piggybacks cause CELs and misfires, etc.
Loving the build, man. I plan on doing a lot of the same things to my white 2.0 as soon as the warranty expires. Interested that you upgraded to 19s. Can you tell a difference in speedo readings?
I'd be all over these if they were 18s. Do you know if they would mess with the stock speedo much on a 2.0? Stock wheels and tires are the same as the 3.0, just an inch smaller.
Do you know if a reflector delete is legal? I live in a harsh state where tint of any kind isn't even allowed and inspections have to be videotaped and photographed; so I'm just wondering if it's worth it to do mine. I love the look of the color-matched reflectors though.
Late to the party but I actually went into the dealership looking for a 2.0. I knew they weren't selling well and nobody wanted a four-cylinder Supra; so I used that to my advantage and absolutely stole the thing. I paid 41,5 on a 47,5 MSRP 2.0, have a car payment around $100 and cheap...
Looks nasty and I love it, but any idea on a price? Is it going to be over $1k like the 3.0? I have an Armaspeed intake on order but this looks way more enticing so let me know!
I'm very curious how much power they'll be able to make reliably out of the B48. If it could be close to stock 3.0 numbers (350 whp and 380 ft lbs) for less than $4000, I'd be a very, very happy camper.
