I’m happy you got one at MSRP, but this is what my local dealer in VA told me. No reason to call BS for what a dealer is charging on the other side of the country just because you got a better deal.

Sorry, my post wasn't clear. I'm not comparing the chassis and handling characteristics, I agree they're very different animals in that respect. Just saying Subaru has already done R&D for an engine effectively the same Dimension-wise. It shouldn't be too hard for them to do a bit more testing...

Well, they're both FA20 engines, just the WRX is an FA20DIT (factory turbo, TMIC and Subie's DI-only fuel injection). Dimension-wise they're the same with only a few minor differences. So not exactly apples to oranges.

I've had my 86 from day 1 and have been very happy with it. Granted I turboed it within months of owning it, so obviously I agree it needed more hp from the factory. I get what they were trying to accomplish with it but they should've upped the power with the refresh. Oh well, I'll just keep it...
