Nothing back from my dealer on it's update, but I do know that per a quick online search, several dealers offer it as an option with the car. Have you looked to see if you original invoice shows it as added/optional equipment?
Very interesting. I work for the finance arm of Toyota, and will check with our dedicated Service Mgr at the local dealer, as this is the first I am hearing of this.
If I won that car, I too would have sold it, or traded for a stock one, and still had cash for mods that I would personally want/like. I am not a fan of this body mod as it and many others simply deter from the great lines the body already has, and most of the lowered after market suspensions do...
Honestly, the products you use will depend on your taste, what you want to spend etc. I would suggest watching several reviews on Youtube, but there are a few folks on here that can give you really good options. As for the clothe, I would suggest that Brand name is not as important as the fact...
Yeah, I wipe the wheels down with micro fiber cloth, but the spots I am talking about are discolorations on the bare aluminum portion of the rotor (the part that has the rivets on it). Not the wheel itself. My guess, is that despite the products claim it was safe for bare aluminum, it was simply...
Thanks, at some point I will need to get that done for the wheels. The first time I cleaned the wheels with Adam's brand wheel cleaner, it spotted the barrels a bit, so now I have to pull off the wheels and polish out the barrel.
LIl Grey, what were you thoughts on the NextGen for the wheels? Worth he effort? I like the shine I get with it, but I am not really certain it is doing much to prevent dust etc on the body as it claims. I live in AZ, and find it nearly impossible to drive without a certain degree of dust.
Ordered and installed the gloss black from IND. While I think this should have been fixed by Toyota in year two, this aftermarket solution does work. I drove up Mt Lemmon in AZ which is just over 9,000ft yesterday, and the 29 mile base to top twisting and winding drive was so much more enjoyable...
Perfect, thanks for sharing! While I like the carbon fiber look, I agree that it makes it stand out more being a different material, so gloss black would be great.
I would love to get a clear bra and full hood done, but am really torn over the cost, and how to know if you are getting a good installer or not. I have two very tiny impact points, that most would not notice, but I do. I am really struggling with doing it or not. I bought the car to drive and...
Have you tried buffing compound alone yet? My thought, is that if you DO NOT sand it, just use a buffing compound, then a plastic polish, it may remove the rough edges, so that it does not reflect and you will not notice it. This may be a less invasive way to see what improvements you can make...
The issue I am having with Waze, is that when it gave audio alerts, it only gave them through the phone, but now no audio despite being Carplay connected. Also, I did not want alerts for railroad crossing, so I muted that one, but since then, it seems to have decided I no lonner need any audio...
I opened mine to tap in for my Valentine, and the pin set I have is simply too large. Which wiretap set did you get? Also, anyone else notice hot stinkin hot that unit is right above it?
I treated the outer surface last night. I will clean the inner wheels surface and calipers again next wash, and treat the inside. I also gave the car it's first coat of NextGen on the body, looking good so far. Now, how will it work in the real world.
This is a debate I am currently having with myself, to clear bra or not. The cheapest I could find for a provider I would trust, is 1K. That just does bumper and hood, but I have to ask myself, am I buy the car to show off, or did I buy it to enjoy driving. Still on the fence, but unless I put...
