They want $50,000 over sticker for it along with the other launch edition they also have. Apparently they got two white ones but couldn’t tell me the plaque number of the second one.

Bringing up an old post here but if my Supra isn’t here in a month I’m going to get a GT350R. The wait is getting painful.

This makes me wonder how accurate the dealers’ systems are. They give me updates every few days but they seem to move the car a step forward, then a few steps back.

Page 12 of the e-guide mentions the “unique launch edition phantom matte grey exterior”...???

So other than the actual sticker from the car showing that these are launch additions, particularly for the red ones, how would we verify a car as a launch edition? Why not just get red mirror caps, the black wheels and a appliqué from a local graphics company and slap it on the dashboard?

Having owned BMWs, most of the issues I have had have been with sensors and electronic gremlins. The bright side is that the labor rates at my Toyota dealer are lower than the BMW dealer.

I am thinking the same thing but am hoping that I can barter for the warranty by allowing the dealer to keep my car in the showroom for a few weeks to generate some business.

I read somewhere that over half of them would be red and the rest would be split about 25% each of white and black. From what I have seen advertised out there and through calls I’ve made, I would definitely say that I have seen dealers with more red than I have white or black.

It’s interesting to me that the VIN number doesn’t seem to have a whole lot to do with the launch edition plaque number.

Here we are a day later from the last update from Toyota where my car was clear and arriving next week, to now having no news and all the dates of arrival disappearing from the dealer’s system. And the beat goes on...

I would double check with them again today as I was in the same situation. But now it looks like things may have cleared up for a bunch of us to get these sooner than we had thought.

My car was on hold from what my dealer showed me on Tuesday but today’s update has the car now arriving 2 weeks ahead of the original schedule, by August 6

My dealer just told me that mine is now delayed as well. He said he was thinking it was for a random inspection as that is happening a lot with the RAV4 as well. I’m not so sure that is the case if this many of us are having this issue I doubt it’s just a “random inspection”. Who knows...

I don’t know which port but this is the picture of the status they send me every few days. They said every dealer has this access:

My dealer has been keeping me up to date and mine hit the port on the 16th, will get processed on the 22nd, then shipped to the dealer on August 5th. Arrival will be August 7-12.

CJ in West Michigan. Just put down a deposit on a Red LE a couple weeks ago. I wanted white but couldn't find one nearby. Any one wanna trade? ;)
