Off topic. This new stick-shift supercar is just sick!
*If a rare supercar manufacturer can produce a stick-shift supercar, then why can’t Toyota release a manual sports car with the Supra?

Nothing can beat the manual transmission in terms of driver engagement. It’s manual or nothing. :drive:
That’s why, Toyota, you said the Supra is meant to be a driver’s car. Well, I couldn’t totally agree with that because that “manual = enhusiast’s transmission of choice” is missing.
I don’t understand what Tada-san is saying.:dunno:
I just get the point that the Supra will be updated as it matures.
Any mention about a manual Supra?:)
I wonder if could it really be that Toyota isn’t done with the testing of the manual transmission for the Supra just yet that’s why they haven’t released it yet, or is Toyota focusing on releasing the manual transmission on the 2nd-generation Toyota 86(and possibly not with the Supra). :hmm:

To have a “double-bubble” targa top would be awesome! I hope the roof will somehow fit in the trunk space. But, no matter what, I still want a manual Supra to happen over the targa.
I’m feeling the automatic version is going to depreciate. The Supra will only become a legend once it will be made available with a 3.0-liter I6 manual transmission. Please don’t disappoint us enthusiasts, Toyota.
I would prefer to drive a less powerful Supra with manual transmission anytime, any day, rather than the one with a more powerful motor that is automatic.
Doing partnership, collaboration with other automakers, I believe Toyota doesn’t always have the final say even if they want to make something possible.
With regards to the 86/BRZ project, Toyota didn’t mention anything about the turbo engine enthusiasts have been clamoring for for a long time...
As of this time, Toyota just kind of gives us excuses or reasons to believe....if there’s enough demand. Do they really care about the demand? Are they doing something about the demand? Are they building it? Seems like they’re not in the mood now to talk about the 3.0-liter I6 manual Supra...
I think manual is a must for the new Supra. It will be the last breed of a manual Supra. After 2020, most cars will already be automatic and focus will be towards electrification. There’s no better time to experience a thrilling manual transmission sports car. Now is the time.
