Confirmed The upper hat section (strut bearing) is all correct and confirmed no shipping spacers are on the struts yet the noises still remain. Any other ideas to try before going back to stock?
Thanks for the advice- I wasn’t there during the install but both shops are very reputable with doing various Supra track cars and street car installs but still worth me following up on regarding the shipping spacers. Question for you, would those be noticeable if they are still there in terms...
Curious to hear if the sleeves work for you. I have H&R springs on mine with sleeves installed since day one, and I have had nothing but noise issues within 2 minutes of driving away from the shop. I have had the front suspension re-installed, the rears spent an entire day trying to diagnose and...
Any updates/revelations to report here? My cars been in the shop twice for the metal on metal noise coming from the front with HR springs but they can’t find anything
HR springs installed professionally, and reporting horrific noises from all corners. Sounds like a bucket of bolts rolling around in the engine bay when driving over rough cement. Smooth bumps and roads are fine, but the car literally sounds like it’s going to fall apart when you hit slightly...
no just the 991.2. I feel like an older, smaller Porsche like the 997 would mentally allow you to forgive it for not having the modern tech. Kind of like if you bought an old Cobra or 1960’s Porsche, you just buy it for a fun mechanical piece of art.
Personally, I think the choice between the 2021 Supra with increased HP, vs M2 competition is a no-brainer for me; Supra 100%. However I have had a ton of BMW M cars (Multiple M3’s, Two M4’s, M2 Comp) so for me the car just felt a little too safe, and too tired.
If you do not care about modern...
Agree completely! I still look back but cant see anything. It’s hard to 100% trust the blind spot sensors but they have been around for quite some time now and I do actually trust them for the most part!
Thanks a lot for reading through it all! One MAJOR REASON I did this review was because I was becoming disgusted by the auto journalist reviews bashing the free press car they had been given for a story. These journalists cycle through such a wide range of cars, from exotics like McLaren, Aston...
This has me extremely paranoid now about lowering the car after reading through everyone’s experiences. Does anyone know of any shops in so-cal who are aware of all of these quirks and details and can do this right on the first try?
Just picked up a 2020 Launch Edition two weeks ago, and after spending some time hitting some fun roads, I wanted to do a real world comparison between the cars I have had over the last few years. This is not a “what car is fastest on the track or drag strip” review. This review is to compare...
thanks for the update! Very interesting, and grateful for the time you put into this. Do you happen to know if the BMW airbag and the Z4 wheel buttons are all plug and play, or is any coding needed for the Supra to recognize the new parts.
Are you guys going to use the Z4 wheel? If not, what is...
