I think Max will cut through the field like a hot knife through butter. He’s my favourite to win. I think Checo has a good race but I think he finishes just off the podium in 4th. Both RB and Max will widen their lead. Those are my predictions before this race.
How many people do you know who are different at home than at work? I know loads of these people. I think he is probably a decent bloke to be around outside the sport, but as a coworker, nah I don’t care how talented he is, it’s a team sport and if you treat your team like poop, you likely...
The issue that I have always had with Max is how he treats his team. He’s all stick and no carrot. When things are going well the praise is limited but when there is just some rather minor things that happens that impacts his race negatively (say a 4 second pit stop instead of a 2.5) he is...
You have to understand, in the heat of the race McLaren was very much so concerned that Lewis/Max do the under cut and find enough pace to get ahead of Lando, it wasn't a concern with Oscar due to how much further ahead he was. Had they chose to pit Oscar first, you would have saw Lewis and Max...
I was thinking that also. My goodness that would have been a bad decision for young Oscar. Glad he chose McLaren and has been rewarded through hard work.
Again, literally the only reason Lando was ahead was because the team was worried they'd lose P2 and pitted him first. It was not a move to give him the win, it was a move to secure P1&2. It was made clear at the time that the order was not going to change. Oscar was leading handedly for the...
Well Lewis said after the race he felt it was a racing incident with Max and him coming together and the FIA/Stewards agreed as there was no further action. Lewis used the same or similar line that he did on previous laps, but Max just missed his braking point, came in too fast, and they came...
It shouldn't because I'm sure at some point in the near future the shoe will be on the other foot and he will be appreciative that he chose the right thing.
I really think Max is a fantastic driver and talent, but my god is he a child if things aren’t going his way. He is quick to point the finger at literally everyone and everything but rarely if ever himself. I know the broadcast shows his comments a lot, but he seems to be the worst complainer...
Wow, a bit defensive there. I was merely stating that the current “new” performance cars aren’t as exciting and plentiful as before, it wasn’t a shot at your M2, was more a comment on the current state of sports car selection.
While I personally wouldn’t pick an M2 over a Supra I can certainly...
While I'm sure that BMW is doing backflips over this award, to me it speaks to just how poor the current crop of new performance vehicles there are in the marketplace.
Looks fantastic bud. Glad you made it back safe and sound. Must be nice to also have the break in done by the time you made it back home from the drive. May it give you years of driving joy and happiness. Cheers brother
Was a great race, some rather perplexing strategies that sort of ruined the race for a few (Charles and Oscar to name two). I knew that when Lewis came out and had the lead with the same tires as Lando it was going to be extremely tough to pass him. Had Lando put new mediums on, I think he...
I tend to think a lot of tracks are Max friendly, not just the RB ring, maybe not to the extent of that one. Just pick a track where there isn't a "home" driver, and you'll likely find that RB/Max love is pretty strong. Even the Mexico GP is pretty good to Max.
My worry is that Max will hold...
The only thing I would change is the talk about his “old” tires and Landos newer tires, they pitted literally at the same time, so any difference in tire life would be negligible at best. He moved under braking and he definitely knew where Lando was at all times during those attempts to pass...
I don’t think we should blame RB or Horner for Max’s issues fully. He is such an amazing talent, no denying it, so like any team sport they will do things to keep him happy. He would be the same with any of the teams I feel. But if the FIA were consistent with everyone, I am confident he...
Nope they both had hards and they even pitted at the same time, so tires were not a issue.
It did not make any sense because the sprint race Max easily passed him in a couple of corners, so one would think he should have some confidence to do it again. Wasn’t like it was the last lap. No...
