Wow 500 pounds! :confused1: I can't remember hearing of that type of weight losss from one generation to another for any recent car.
Definitely encouraging news for FT-1. Good find.
I thought the concept was larger than the eventual road model because it's on a RC chassis. Never knew it was bigger for stage presence. What ever the reason, it worked for getting everyone's attention.
Toyota's not stupid. If they price it higher than the C7 then the Supra is going to be better than the C7. And at this price range for a Toyota, you can bet we're gonna get a hell of a performer and high quality car.
On paper this car is just plain sick. I just don't think I could ever be a Mustang owner. The car and its image is tough for me to overcome [yea call me vain].
Tetsuya Tada the same guy who headed up engineering for entire FR-S and BRZ project is heading the FT-1 too so there's hope for a manual for the Supra or whatever it'llb e called yet.
I have to agree with Matt. This is the current C7 we are comparing it to and with that weight and power it is already losing in a bench race. In 2 yrs or more when the Supra is finally in production it will have new and better competitors in the market.
